Last updated 23 September 2026
Astrid has no accounts, no sign-up and no identity checks. We do not ask for your name, email or documents. This policy explains the little we do process and why.
Who is responsible
Astrid is operated by Astrid Intelligence Plc, a public limited company registered in England and Wales.
Astrid Intelligence Plc is the controller of the personal data described here, under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we process
| Data | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your public wallet address | To read balances and positions from the chain and prepare the transactions you ask for. It is used in your browser and sent to the blockchain nodes and data services that answer those reads. We do not store it against you. | Legitimate interests: providing the software you chose to use |
| IP address, browser and device details, request logs | To serve the site, keep it secure and fix faults. Our hosting provider and error monitoring receive these. | Legitimate interests: running a secure, working service |
| Error reports | When something breaks, a report with the error, the page and your browser details is sent to our error monitoring service. We do not attach wallet addresses on purpose. | Legitimate interests: fixing faults |
| Usage analytics | Only if you accept analytics cookies. Counts of actions such as a trade being submitted, with amounts and asset names. Never wallet addresses or transaction hashes. | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Settings on your device | Your theme, slippage setting, recent transactions and cookie choice are kept in your browser's storage. They do not leave your device. | Strictly necessary for the features you use |
Blockchain transactions are public by design. Anything you sign is recorded on a public ledger that we do not control and cannot erase.
Who receives it
We use these kinds of providers, each only for the purpose above:
- Hosting and delivery (Vercel).
- Error monitoring (Sentry).
- Analytics, only with your consent (Google Analytics).
- Blockchain nodes and data services that answer reads, such as Bittensor RPC nodes, Alchemy, taostats and the Hyperlane explorer.
- Routing and quoting services that prepare cross-chain and swap transactions, which receive the addresses a transaction is sent from and to.
- Wallet connection services such as WalletConnect, when you connect through them.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where they do, the transfer relies on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.
How long we keep it
- Server and hosting logs: kept by the provider for their standard log period, usually no more than 30 days.
- Error reports: up to 90 days.
- Analytics: up to 14 months, then deleted by Google.
- Data in your browser: until you clear it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time from the cookie policy. Because we hold no account for you, we may need you to tell us what to look for.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would like the chance to put it right first.
Children
Astrid is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly process children's data.
