Earn

Supply both sides of the TAO/USDC pool on Bittensor and collect a share of its trading fees.

How it works

The pool is Uniswap v3 on chain 964, at the 0.3% fee tier. You deposit TAO and USDC across a price range you choose, and receive a position NFT representing your share. Trades that pass through your range pay fees in proportion to the liquidity you supplied.

A narrower range earns more per unit of capital while the price stays inside it, and earns nothing once the price leaves. A wider range earns less but keeps working across more conditions.

What to know before supplying

  • This is not the same as holding. As the price moves, the pool rebalances you toward whichever asset is falling. If TAO rises sharply you will hold less TAO than if you had simply kept it. Fees may or may not make up the difference.
  • Out of range earns nothing. A position sitting entirely outside the current price collects no fees until price returns or you move it.
  • Fees accrue separately from the position and are claimed rather than compounded automatically.
This is a different product from trading subnets. Liquidity here is TAO against USDC. It does not give you exposure to any subnet, and subnet trading does not touch this pool.

Managing a position

Earn lists your positions with their range, current value and unclaimed fees. From a position you can add liquidity, remove some or all of it, and collect fees. Removing liquidity returns both assets at the ratio the pool holds them at that moment, which will not be the ratio you deposited.
